WOW Borneo’s newest boat, with air conditioners silently powered by solar panels. At 19.5 meters in length and 3.8 meters wide, it was a fishing boat with a high prow used locally. We have remodelled it with experienced Bugis boatmen. Named after the river it operates from, the Kumai is designed to accommodate 6 passengers in 3 cabins. The cabins are a Superior Large with a small terrace on the bow, a Double cabin, and a Twin cabin. The deck has plenty of space to enjoy the views from the comfort of rattan sofas and sun lounges. This boat has all of the features which set WOW Borneo apart from the others – air-conditioned cabins, ensuite in every room, spacious unimpeded viewing decks, and great food. Cruises are accompanied by 3 crew and an English-speaking guide.
The cabins are fitted with innerspring mattresses, reading lights, sheets, pillows, bedcovers, towels, and basic toiletries. The cabin windows have mosquito netting and sliding shutters for privacy. Cameras and phones can be charged on board, and the viewing deck and all cabins have sockets. The deck has waterproof blinds with clear inserts for rainy periods. We serve the same highly praised food as on our other boats. Four crew accompany each cruise as well as an English-speaking guide, to make this trip into the jungle memorable and comfortable.
Join-in cruises depart Saturdays (3 day cruise) and Tuesdays (3 and 4 day cruises) from Kumai harbour at 10am. The nearest airport is Pangkalan Bun.
